ST. PETERSBURG – The Blue Jays took advantage of an uncharacteristically off-day by the Rays bullpen during the ninth inning Sunday and left Tropicana Field with a 5-1 victory.
Troy Tulowitzki’s three-run homer off Alex Colome capped the four-run inning for Toronto, which won the final game of the three-game series in front of 27,217 fans.
The Jays had taken a 2-1 lead when Edwin Encarnacion grounded out with the bases loaded. He hit the ball to the left of second base and right to Logan Forsythe, who was playing there on the shift against the right-handed batter.
