The Rays and Yankees will try to play two today, with plans to make up Wednesday’s postponement as part of a traditional doubleheader, with the first game slated to start at 3 p.m.
But that’s if rain doesn’t get in the way again.
The forecast is somewhat concerning, with weather.com calling for isolated thunderstorms from 5-8 p.m. Not that the Rays have any say in it, but they’d prefer to not sit through extended delays get out of New York at a reasonable hour tonight given they’ve got to fly home and host the White Sox in a weekend series starting Friday night.
