The Rays are looking to run their latest winning streak to six and make it a clean sweep of their two-city west coast road trip to Seattle and San Diego in today’s matinee finale at Petco Park. They also are looking to extend their team-record road winning streak to 10.
Lefty Jalen Beeks, who has struggled of late, will be on the mound for the Rays; righty Cal Quantrill is starting for San Diego. Rays manager Kevin Cash said he expected a strong outing from Beeks, starting with cutting down on the amount of pitches thrown per inning.
