Rays’ 9-6 loss to Tigers is fourth straight, with Blake Snell giving up grand slam to Miguel Cabrera

DETROIT — Injuries have hurt, even the supposedly minor nagging ones, in limiting the potency of the lineup. Though manager Kevin Cash doesn’t want to agree, the taxing schedule seems to be wearing on them.

Something is different, if not wrong, with the Rays.

Tuesday marked their fourth straight loss, matching their season-high most.

While the last three were to a Twins team that is clearly among the best in the majors, Tuesday’s was to a Tigers team that is certainly among the worst, 9-6.

Worse, it came when the Rays had their ace starter, Blake Snell, on the mound, and one of the two big bats that were missing over the weekend, Avisail Garcia, back in the lineup.
