The first day of Players’ Weekend is here! Typically one of my favorite weekends. Players graciously get to express themselves through custom cleats, batting sleeves, and fun nicknames on the back! Here are some highlights from the Rays’ players:
Can’t see it but Pham’s cleats are in tribute to the late L.A. rapper, Nipsey Hussle who passed away earlier this year.
Except for the customization, the Players Weekend uniforms are as exciting as a game of chess, with the Orioles wearing blacked out uniforms, and the Rays wearing white out uniforms. Except for the pitcher, who is wearing a black hat?
