Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena has been released after his mandatory 48-hour detainment by Mexican authorities following allegations against the player related to a dispute over his daughter.
In a portion of the incident filmed, Arozarena can be seen holding his daughter by his car while arguing with a crowd (which includes a responding police officer) about the care his daughter was receiving.
Mexican newspapers detailed allegations related to the incident that led to his being detained, such as attempted kidnapping of his daughter without the consent of her family, and battery of his ex-partner’s father.
