Player of the Series: Jonathan Aranda

The Tampa Bay Rays engaged the New York Yankees in several high contested games but unfortunately dropped three of the four and had their playoff hopes dwindle even further.

The Rays pitching and offense had their bright spots but no one performed better over the four games than Jonathan Aranda, our Draysbay Player of the Series.

Over the four games, Aranda hit .400/.412/.667 with 1 HR over 17 trips to the plate. Unfortunately, Aranda left Thursday game early after a collision at first base resulted in an injury to Aranda’s arm. The Rays have not officially placed Aranda on the Injured List as of yet, but Kevin Cash has already said that “he’ll miss some time.
