Out of Rockies thin air, questions follow Dickerson to Rays

ST. PETERSBURG — Home vs. road. The thin air of Coors Field vs. the other 29 ballparks in the major leagues. Those are questions that followed Corey Dickerson from Denver to St. Petersburg after his trade Thursday from the Rockies to the Rays.

Dickerson, the left-handed-hitting power hitter, has better numbers at Coors Field — posting a .355 average, 24 home runs and 78 RBIs, with a .410 on-base percentage and a .675 slugging percentage in 400 career at-bats over three seasons. On the road, those numbers dip to .249/.286/.410 with 15 home runs and 46 RBIs in 454 at-bats.
