Miley has surrendered fewer than four runs in just one of his past nine starts. He allowed a combined 12 runs over 9 2/3 innings in his past two outings while walking eight. The lefty gave up two runs in seven innings vs. the Rays on April 25.
Faria has pitched well since being recalled from Triple-A Durham on June 7. All but one of his starts have been a quality start. He’s shown that he’s not afraid to throw strikes, which can be difficult for rookies.
