Moore turns in another fine performance as Rays beat Miami

ST. PETERSBURG -- If Tuesday was the final start of the season for Matt Moore than he certainly whetted a few appetites when it comes to the Rays rotation for 2016.

And Drew Smyly, who starts tonight against the Marlins, can continue to do the same with his final outing of the season.

Moore allowed just a first-inning run in his seven innings during the Rays 4-2 victory played in front of 9,150 at Tropicana Field.

He has allowed only three runs in his last 20 2/3 innings over his last three starts. That should quiet any talk that the 2013 AL All-Star is still battling through the lingering effects of last year’s Tommy John surgery.
