The Rays “would at least talk about a reunion” if Crawford was interested, reports Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.
The 34-year-old Crawford was released by the Los Angeles Dodgers last week with approximately $35 million remaining on a contract that runs through 2017. The Dodgers would be on the hook for the bulk of the remaining salary, making Crawford a feasible fit for the cost-conscious Rays.
Tampa Bay has endured a rash of outfield injuries, with Kevin Kiermaier, Steven Souza Jr and Brandon Guyer all on the disabled list.
