Tampa Bay Rays manager Kevin Cash squashed any speculation that he plans to bench first baseman Logan Morrison and/or shortstop Brad Miller, both of whom are off to slow starts.
“Not really. Haven’t even discussed it,” Cash tells Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune before the pair again went hitless in a 6-0 loss to Cleveland on Thursday.
Morrison, who is platooning at first base with Steve Pearce, has just two hits in 29 at-bats (.069).
