The Tampa Bay Rays are planning on adding a fifth starter to their rotation over the next few days, and right-hander Erasmo Ramirez is one of the top options. However, his success as a reliever this season may keep him in the bullpen, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
"Once we were going to go to a four-man rotation, we knew that we were going to use Erasmo in some pretty high-leverage situations," Rays manager Kevin Cash said. "I don't think any of us could have said he was going to be pitching this good at this point.
