Just when you think you've figured out the Rays and want to heap on the credit, they prove you can't figure them out after all with back-to-back, downright ugly losses to the majors-worst Orioles.
There were good things for LHP Jalen Beeks in his otherwise rough Rays debut. He wasn't hit that hard. He showed a good cutter and a willingness to run it inside. And unlike the pressurized environment in Boston, there'll be no talk-radio debate; he'll get more chances.
