BALTIMORE -- Adam Jones homered to ignite a four-run sixth inning, and the Baltimore Orioles defeated Tampa Bay 6-3 on Friday night to extend the Rays' losing streak to eight games.
Manny Machado of the Orioles marked his return from a four-game suspension by hitting his 18th home run in the eighth. Machado received the suspension for charging Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura on June 7.
After falling into an early 3-0 hole, the Orioles finally got their first baserunner against Matt Moore (3-5) in the fifth inning and turned the game around in the sixth.
