"I just try to keep our guys in the game," Honeywell said. "I did the best I could, we didn't need that run to score in the first, I just tried to limit the damage, and the same thing happened in the second inning."
While Honeywell owned a 2.35 ERA in the regular season with Class-A Advanced Charlotte and Double-A Montgomery, his Fall League ERA was 8.64 prior to Saturday's start. In his first two outings, he gave up eight earned runs over 4.1 innings.
"Some days you got it, some days you don't," Honeywell said. "Free passes happen.
