Zimmermann have quietly been very good for the Tigers during the 2018 season. He had a month long stay on the disabled list. He made his return on June 16th and has made four starts since returning. He has allowed two runs over this last three starts, with his last outing coming on the 6th against Rangers where he allowed a run on six hits over eight innings pitched. The lone run came via a solo home run, meanwhile, he didn’t walk a batter and racked up 11 strikeouts during the dominating start.
In 2018, he has relied primarily on his Fourseam Fastball (92mph) and Slider (87mph), also mixing in a Curve (81mph).
