The 2018 season has not been kind to Francisco Liriano thus far as his 13 starts for the Tigers have been a struggle. He has shown signs of his former self that had a top prospect pedigree, but it’s usually been mediocre to less than subpar performances. His last time out was on the 4th in Chicago against the Cubs where he allowed three runs on five hits, while he walked five and struck out five over six innings pitched.
In 2018, he has relied primarily on his Sinker using a Two-seam Fastball grip (93mph) and Slider (85mph), also mixing in a Change (86mph).
