SEATTLE -- Rays second baseman Logan Forsythe had to leave Monday night's game against the Mariners after getting hit by a pitch in the top of the third.
The extent of Forsythe's injury is not yet known.
Felix Hernandez hit Forsythe on the left shoulder with two outs in the top of the third. Forsythe appeared to be in pain as he made his way to first base, earning a trip from the Rays' trainers.
Forsythe remained in the game and moved to second base on a wild pitch. After Evan Longoria grounded out to end the inning, Forsythe took his position at second base, but he continued to move around as if in discomfort and then returned to the dugout.
