Tampa Bay Rays lefty Blake Snell didn’t pitch well Thursday against the Seattle Mariners and those that made him the most added pitcher in ESPN standard leagues over the past week are likely rethinking things. Still, it was just one game and Snell could go on some kind of amazing streak like Detroit Tigers right-hander Michael Fulmer has done and not allow a run for weeks. Fulmer’s ERA sat at 6.52 a mere four weeks ago and is now down to just 2.52.
Of course, Snell might end up producing just like Minnesota Twins right-hander Jose Berrios, Atlanta Braves right-hander Aaron Blair or Los Angeles Dodgers teenage lefty Julio Urias, each with bloated ERAs and not helping fantasy teams.
