As of right now, it seems like a lock that the Rays will have one representative in the 2018 All-Star Game, the very deserving Wilson Ramos, who had leapt ahead of Yankee’s catcher Gary Sanchez in recent weeks. Unless there’s a late Yankees surge, the Buffalo will head to Washington DC later this month.
While it’s exciting to see a Rays player win the popular vote, it was a bit surprising how long it took people to realize how much Ramos deserved to go, considering he was better that Sanchez in almost every single category.
