Archer, who allowed 30 homers in a down 2016, entered Monday with a pristine homer record in his first four starts. That changed in the bottom of the sixth inning as the O's went back-to-back, on Kim's first blast of the year and Schoop's fifth. Jones delivered the eventual game-winning homer for Baltimore in the seventh, sending the first pitch he saw from Archer out of the park at 108.3 mph for a two-run blast.
Archer surrendered a season-high five runs in the contest.
Orioles starter Ubaldo Jimenez, coming off a season-high 7 2/3 scoreless innings, continued his erratic ways in lasting a season-low 3 1/3.
