ST. PETERSBURG -- Matt Duffy had to leave Monday's contest against the Rangers with right hamstring tightness. The Rays announced that he is day to day and will be re-evaluated tomorrow.
After hitting a single to lead off the Rays' first, Duffy stole second and appeared to jam his right knee when his leg hit the bag. He was not able to score on C.J. Cron's single to right. That's when Rays manager Kevin Cash and one of team's trainers paid Duffy a visit.
Duffy was led back to the dugout and Joey Wendle entered the game to pinch-run for Duffy.
