Dickerson leads off with massive home run

If not for Tropicana Field's concrete back wall in right field, the mammoth shot might still be carrying into the bay. Dickerson's blast easily cleared the entire section of seats in right before going through a fan's hands and bouncing hard off the wall to the right of the outfield video boards.

Off the bat, the home run clocked in at 108.9 mph, tied for Dickerson's second-hardest of the Statcast™ Era (109.7).

It was Dickerson's fourth homer of the season, and the second time he has hit one to lead off an inning. He previously did it in Tampa Bay's 4-1 victory over the Yankees on April 5, driving Michael Pineda's third pitch over the left-field wall.
