ST. PETERSBURG -- Zach Davies and two relievers held the Rays in check to lead the Brewers to a 3-0 win on Saturday night at Tropicana Field.
The Brewers' second straight shutout victory allowed Milwaukee (59-53) to remain a half-game behind the Cubs, who defeated the Nationals to remain atop the National League Central. The Rays (57-55) entered Saturday's action 4 1/2 games behind the American League East-leading Red Sox, and a half-game behind the Royals for the second Wild Card spot.
