TORONTO -- Ji-Man Choi exited Friday night's game with left knee soreness after hitting a leadoff double in the fifth inning.
The 27-year-old designated hitter hit a ground ball through the infield to right field, but as he rounded second, he appeared to injure his left knee. While the Blue Jays made a mound visit, the Rays' medical trainer came out to check on Choi. He remained in the game, but was later removed.
He was replaced by Austin Meadows, who hit a two-run single to give the Rays a three-run lead in the sixth inning.
