Welcome back to our new offseason series “Baseball 101.” If you missed the first post, where we explained the positions and basic lineup construction, you can find that here. In this entry we’ll be discussing some very basic batting terminology: hits, walks, batting average, and the most common terms we see used in regular articles as well as during games. Next week we’ll be posting a similar explainer for pitching terminology.
