On Friday, Pruitt made his first start taking the place of injured Jake Odorizzi, who went on the 10-day DL with a back problem on July 26. Pruitt allowed three home runs and five runs total in five innings against the Yankees.
Keuchel had to shake off some rust Friday in his first MLB start since June 2. He needed 63 pitches to get through two innings and ultimately lasted only three, allowing three runs. Keuchel is 1-4 with a 4.70 ERA in seven career starts vs. the Rays.
