Archer will make his first start since encountering his worst Major League start when he allowed nine earned runs to the Royals on July 8. Archer, who earned All-Star honors, is 2-0 with a 1.49 ERA in six career starts at Rogers Centre.
Estrada was one of the Blue Jays' surprise stories in the first half. He took no-hitters into the eighth inning of back-to-back starts, and over his last five outings, he has a sparkling 2.12 ERA. He is 5-2 with a 3.21 ERA since June 2.
