Rays RHP Nathan Eovaldi has has another setback in his comeback, delayed now by a right rib muscle strain.

Eovaldi was set to open the season in the Rays rotation following his 2017 rehab from Tommy John elbow surgery, but was sidelined by "loose bodies' in the elbow that turned out to be pieces of cartilage.

He had arthroscopic surgery March 30 to remove them, and had been making impressive progress, hitting 98 mph in a game for the Stone Crabs. He was to make the third of four planned rehab starts Tuesday in Durham and was slated to return to the Rays around May 25.
