Another quiet day for the Rays offense, another loss

ST. PETERSBURG — Quiet bats, Rays manager Kevin Cash said after the game.

Who can argue.

The Rays lost 2-1 on Easter Sunday to the Red Sox in front of 14,256 at Tropicana Field.

It was their third straight loss, all by one run.

They left the tying run at third in the sixth inning and again in the ninth. They were 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position. They left nine runners on base.

Sounds frustrating, right?

No, said Carlos Gomez.

"It's four games," he said. "We still have 158 games. Frustrating is not the right word.
