Martinez will interview to be the next manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.
“Davey Martinez will be interviewed for dodgers managerial job. Dodger people love [Joe] Maddon, so martinez makes sense.”
This will be the sixth different team that Martinez will interview for a managerial opening. The list of previous teams includes, the Astros, Cubs, Indians, Blue Jays, and of course, the Rays when they ultimately picked Kevin Cash.
Martinez served as the Rays’ bench coach under Maddon for seven season. He also briefly played for the Rays in 2000.
