SARASOTA, Fla. -- Pedro Alvarez drove in five runs with a grand slam and double, Mark Trumbo hit a two-run shot and the Baltimore Orioles and Cuba-bound Tampa Bay Rays played to an 8-8 tie on Sunday.
Alvarez, who recently signed with the Orioles, hit his first home run of the spring in the second inning. Trumbo hit his third home run in the third.
Chris Tillman, who missed his first start for Baltimore with a strained hip, allowed three runs on five hits in four innings.
