Yesterday we identified three pitchers on the Rays roster that will be looking to bounce back in 2020 after a shaky 2019. Today, let’s look at a trio of Rays position players that will be looking to stay healthy and play at a higher level than they did in 2019.
Similar to the pitchers that we identified yesterday, Blake Snell, Jose Alvarado, and Brent Honeywell, all three position players that will be discussed today struggled to stay healthy in 2019 and as a result had inconsistent and down years.
After surveying the catching market and missing out on a reunion with Travis d’Arnaud, the Rays opted to take a chance on Mike Zunino signing him to a contract for next season with an option for 2021.
