The 2024-25 NHL season ends with the Florida Panthers crowned as Stanley Cup Champions, again

Whelp. The Stanley Cup is staying in Florida. That’s nice. The Florida Panthers went from huge question mark heading into the post-season to an absolute juggernaut as they won their second consecutive Stanley Cup with a 5-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final. And with that victory, the season comes to an end.

With several of their players injured at the end of the season (or, in the case of Aaron Ekblad, suspended for performance-enhancing drugs) there was some doubt as to if they would even make it out of the first round.
