At the risk of hyperbole, Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m., the Tampa Bay Lightning hosts the Detroit Red Wings in game two of their first round NHL matchup, in what is the most important game of this season for the home team. Win this game and they tie the series as the teams head to Detroit for games three and four. Lose, and they fall into a gigantic 0-2 hole.
The Lightning players have to be shaking their collective head as they clearly outplayed the Red Wings in most every facet of Thursday’s game one. They dominated the visitors in shots, in face offs and in hits.
