Tampa Bay Lightning: Evaluating The NHL Salary Cap Situation

As the 2015-16 NHL continues to roll along, it is never too early to find out how much teams will have to spend for the upcoming season. Well, the National Hockey League and Commissioner Gary Bettman announced Monday that the annual salary cap could rise to as much as $74.1 million dollars next season.

According to Bettman, after a $2.4 million dollar increase in the salary cap from the 2013-14 season to this current year, there is a good chance that the NHL salary cap could once again jump up by as much as $3 million dollars next season.
