The Steven Stamkos silly season continues.
With Stamkos, 25, the Lightning superstar captain, still not not signed to a contract extension, and due for unrestricted agency in July, everyone is trying to read the Maple Leaf tea leaves - or, Twitter feed.
Social media was abuzz Wednesday afternoon when Stamkos, a Markham, Ontario native, hit "like" on a tweet by TSN of a video asking if the Maple Leafs should go after the All-Star center. Seemingly minutes later, Stamkos unliked the tweet.
Stamkos indicated he didn't realize he hit the "like" button.
"It was accidental," he said.
