The Tampa Bay Lightning were defeated in the second game of the season, in which they controlled the game, but allowed three goals during the five minutes stretch in the second period and couldn’t save it. [Raw Charge]
The Lightning will have a tough time accepting this one. The Panthers played well enough but most of the problems for the Bolts tonight were self inflicted. They got themselves out of sorts with penalties and the game changed completely during that stretch of the second period.
Jon Cooper has also expressed disappointment.
