The return to Amalie Arena after a two week road trip didn’t go well for the Tampa Bay Lightning. The best team of the last regular season was defeated by the best team of the current regular season - the Colorado Avalanche. Whatever this game was, Tampa Bay needs to expunge it from their collective memory. This was one of those games. It’s frustrating that it came against a team on a back-to-back and playing their backup goaltender, but that doesn’t mean a win is a guaranteed thing.
