Podcast: Esposito calls Lightning his 'greatest achievement' in hockey

It's hard to believe it's been 25 years since the Lightning franchise was born.

Founder Phil Esposito, who helped bring an NHL team to Tampa Bay back in 1990, said it's gone by so fast, the silver anniversary Dec. 6.

"My hair was a lot more black then," Esposito, 73, said with a chuckle.

In this week's Lightning Strikes Podcast, Esposito is our special guest, discussing his journey in landing the Lightning, the ups and downs along the way, and how owner Jeff Vinik has made his dream a "fantasy." Esposito, a Hall of Famer, calls starting the Lightning his "greatest achievement" in hockey.
