A Chihuahua and his owner have been reunited, a week after the pet became startled by fireworks and ran away at a Tampa Bay Lightning watch party in downtown Tampa.
“My baby is home safe!” Kirsten Stinson posted on her Facebook page after learning Benjamin was found Friday in a parking garage. “Poor little guy is SO exhausted.”
They were reunited Tuesday after a woman who found Benjamin saw reports of the missing pooch on WTVT-TV.
Benjamin bolted the night of June 8 when celebratory fireworks went off at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park after the Lightning won Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final.
