Last night at the Joe Louis Arena, the Tampa Bay Lightning systematically dismantled the Detroit Red Wings and forced a Game 7 in the First Round Series of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Unfortunately for the Lightning, this wasn’t without their fair share of adversity.
The one moment that sticks out in everyone’s mind is the one that had the most opportunity to cause serious harm to a member of the Lightning, and as you can imagine, the one that failed to draw a penalty from the lovely NHL referees.
In the final moments of the second period, Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov attempted to play the puck into the neutral zone when he was absolutely destroyed by Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall.
