Killorn came under heavy scrutiny by many due to his recently signed contract (7 years, $31 million with an annual average value and cap hit of 4.45 million) and streaky production.
Killorn finished last season with 36 points (19 goals and 17 assists), which was only five points away from his career high of 41 points; additionally, he hit a career high in goals last season.
