During the last three drafts, the Tampa Bay Lightning chose a strategy to pick not very obvious Russian prospects. I doubt that a lot of you knew exactly who Alex Volkov or Mikhail Shalagin were before the draft. But while the Lightning fans got to know those two players better, Dmitri Semykin, who was drafted in the third round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, still remains very unknown.
I watched through some of the one game I found on YouTube (#13 in blue) and there were a few things that I noticed.
