Lightning Round: Cory Conacher returned to Syracuse Crunch

On Wednesday morning, the Tampa Bay Lightning announced that they had reassigned forward Cory Conacher back to the Syracuse Crunch. The move brings the Bolts active roster down to 22 players, 12 forwards, eight defensemen, and two goaltenders. With only 12 forwards on the roster and the Lightning getting ready to play tomorrow at home against the Minnesota Wild.

This likely means that winger Alex Killorn will be back in the lineup for the first time since November 29th against the Washington Capitals, that’s two games missed. Now, Conacher didn’t play on Tuesday’s win over the Nashville Predators as the Lightning opted for an 11/7 lineup, so it’s not guaranteed Killorn is back from injury just yet, we’ll have to see morning skate lineups today to confirm that.
