Tampa Bay Lightning
BRANDON — Experience can’t be taught, it must be experienced.
For the Lightning, many of the players on the roster have never been in a comfortable situation in a playoff series at the NHL level.
Last year they were swept in the first round and this year they never led Detroit in round one until winning the series in Game 7.
So perhaps there was a bit of complacency when Tampa Bay opened a 3-0 series lead against Montreal.
Now, after two straight losses heading into tonight’s Game 6 at Amalie Arena, the Lightning will be relying on some of the experienced players in their locker room to help deal with the latest unfamiliarity on the playoff path.
