Lightning hire and promote nine within hockey operations

TAMPA — The Lightning has made a few changes and additions in its front office with three promotions and six hires.

The most notable of the changes is the addition of JP Cote as director of player development. The role was previously held by Stacy Roest, who was promoted to assistant general manager and GM of the Crunch earlier in the offseason.

Cote played 19 games with the Lightning in the 2013-14 season and 27 overall in the NHL He spent most of his 15-year career in the AHL, including three seasons in the Tampa Bay organization.
