In playoffs, Bolts G Bishop is focused, on fire

Tampa Bay Lightning

MONTREAL — For the second straight playoff series, Ben Bishop is the other goalie.

Bishop is not the rookie goaltender who stole the show with a 44-save effort in his first game and shut out the highest-scoring team in the league twice in a seven-game series, as Detroit’s Petr Mrazek did in the first round.

Now, in the second round, Bishop is not the Vezina Trophy and league MVP favorite. That would be Montreal’s Carey Price.

Yet, there is Bishop, doing what he has done for two seasons as a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning: providing solid, if not spectacular, goaltending to give his teammates a chance.
