Tampa Bay Lightning
BRANDON — Confidence can be a fine line to walk.
Too little and it can be self-destructive. Too much and it can turn into an inflated sense of security.
Count the Tampa Bay Lightning in the latter part of that state of confidence through the first four games of the Eastern Conference quarterfinal matchup against the Detroit Red Wings.
The series is tied 2-2 heading into today’s Game 5 at Amalie Arena, and it took a late rally by Tampa Bay to get into that state after being shut out for five-plus periods at Joe Louis Arena.
